Professional Experience:

Ms. Chisholm is a geologist/hydrogeologist with over 19 years experience in providing environmental consulting services. This experience includes a broad background in field, laboratory and analytical procedures used in applied geologic and environmental research. She is a licensed Professional Geologist in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia.

Applied Stream & Wetlands Research Experience:

Over the past 9 years Ms. Chisholm has conducted detailed fluvial morphologic assessments of 1st and 2nd order streams located in North Carolina in support of wetlands and stream mitigation obligations. Both reference and impacted reach assessments have been completed in rural and urban watershed settings. Stream assessments, including sediment transport and bank stability analysis (e.g. BEHI), currently follow Rosgen-type criteria.

Other Environmental Experience:

Ms. Chisholm has extensive experience in conducting regulatory driven environmental assessments, environmental audits of industrial facilities, landfill hydrogeologic investigations and site characterization. She has been the Project Manager on State Superfund and RCRA projects that involved preparing Remedial Investigation Work Plans and Reports; preparation of Remediation Work Plans; groundwater assessment, monitoring and modeling; and the design of geophysical surveys and sampling plans. She was the Project Manager of two projects that used Risk Assessment criteria to determine soil, groundwater and surface water clean up levels. During her career, she has conducted numerous Phase I and Phase II environmental audits of industrial facilities located in the United States and Canada to be used as a part of the due diligence needed in real-estate transactions or as a self-improvement tool for the client.

In addition to aforementioned experience, Ms. Chisholm’s technical expertise includes geologic mapping, fracture analyses, geophysical surveying, in-situ hydrogeologic testing and interpretation, soil/groundwater/ surface water/sediment sampling, groundwater monitoring design and risk assessment. Other related environmental projects include: conducting monthly surface and groundwater monitoring and preparing monthly and annual hydrogeologic reports for an open pit mine in South Carolina; preparation of EPA SARA Title III reports; CERCLA Pre-remedial Investigations for Phase I and II sites in North Carolina; conducting National Hazards and Environmental Impact Assessments under FERC guidelines for natural gas pipelines and substation right-of-ways in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey; conducting a UST post-closure soil investigation in Fremont, California and obtaining closure from the local regulatory agency; and groundwater quality assessment for a municipal solid waste landfill site in South Carolina.
